I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
